cofundo — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
cofundo splits bills. To do that, it stores the minimum it needs and
nothing more.
What we collect
- Your account — email address and password (for sign-in).
- Your friends — names and phone numbers you add, so the app
can text them their share of a bill.
- Your bills — receipt photos/PDFs you upload, the line items
read from them, and who owes what.
- Messages — texts sent to and received from your friends
about bills, so replies can update the split.
What we don't do
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDKs.
- We never sell or share your data with third parties for their own use.
- We don't process payments — the app only keeps track of who owes what.
How it works
Receipts are read by an AI service (Anthropic Claude) to extract line items —
receipt images are sent for that one purpose only. Texts are sent through
Twilio. Data is stored with Supabase. Each account's data is isolated —
no other user can see your bills or friends.
Your friends' numbers
Friends you add are only ever texted about bills you put them on. They can
reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts.
Deleting your data
Delete any friend, bill, or message in the app and it's gone. To delete your
whole account and everything in it, email
